Friday 3rd May v Billericay 'C'

This match was played on a cold damp evening but was a good match.

Jill Osborn, David Mersh and Mike Monk won 11-7 on ends and 21-12 on shots.

Nigel Burrus, Mike Yates and Dee Bates lost 8-10 on ends and 11-16 on shots'

Edith Smith, Gordon Cook and Ron Kreamer won 10-8 on ends and 20-13 on shots. This included scoring 5 on 2 ends.

The total shot scores were 52-41 giving us the bonus point. Therefore the points total were 5-2 to Billericay 'B'.

Friday 10th May v Memorial Park, away

Edith Smith, Gordon Cook and Ron Kreamer drew 9 all on ends but won 14-13 on shots.

Jill Osborn, Mike Yates and Roy Green lost 5-13 on ends and 6-34 on shots.

Nigel Burrus, Dee Bates and Mike Monk won 11-7 on ends and 23 -13 on shots.

The total shots score was 43-60 to Memorial Park. Therefore, Billericay 'B' scored 4 points and Memorial Park 3 points.

Friday 17th May v Pitsea 'C' at home

Edith Smith, Gordon Cook and Roy Green lost 5-13 on ends and 10-18 on shots.

Christine Shrubb, Mike Yates and Mike Monk lost 5-13 on ends and 8-20 on shots.

Nigel Burrus, Dee Bates and David Palmer won 12-6 on ends and 15-11 on shots.

The total shots score was 33-49 to Pitsea 'C'. Therefore, the points score was 2-5 to Pitsea 'C'

Thursday 23rd May v Runwell 'A' at home. This is a Murrayfield Cup match.

Edith Smith, Gordon Cook and Ron Kreamer drew 9 all on ends but lost 13-25 on shots.

Mike Yates, Roy Green and Mike Monk lost 8-10 on ends and 13-23 on shots.

David Mersh, Dee Bates and David Palmer drew 9 all on ends but lost 18-23 on shots. The team had some good scores which included two 4s and one 3.

The overall shot score was 44-71 resulting in a win for Runwell 'A'.

Friday 24th May v Billericay 'C' away

David Mersh, Dee Bates and Roy Green won 12-6 on ends and 27 -12 on shots. This was an excellent result which included several high scoring ends.

Jill Osborn, Mike Yates and Mike Monk won 10-8 on ends and 19-11 on shots. This was another good performance which also included some good scores.

Edith Smith, Gordon Cook and Ron Kreamer  drew 9 all on ends but lost 14-22 on shots. This match included some good scores from the 'C' team including one 6. The 'B' team retaliated by scoring 6 on the following end.

The overall shot score was 60-45 meaning the bonus point went to the 'B' team resulting in a point score of 5-2 to the 'B' team.

Thursday 30th May v Wickford 'C' away

This match was reduced to 2 Triples as Wickford were unable to field a third triple. We were awarded 2 points and 10 shots for this rink.

David Mersh, Dee Bates and Mike Monk lost 8-10 on ends and 16-25 on shots. This was an unfortunate result as it had been a close match up to 16 ends but Wickford scored 3 and 5 on ends 17 and 18.

Edith Smith, Gordon Cook and Ron Kreamer  won 10-8 on ends but lost 11-12 on shots. This was a low scoring match as most ends were won by 1 shot and only a few by 2or 3. 

The overall shot score was 37 each including the 10 from the unplayed triple resulting in no bonus point being awarded. The final point score was 4-2 to Wickford.

Friday 7th June v Castle Point 'C'

This match was played on a rainy evening resulting in problems with wet bowls.

Edith Smith, Gordon Cook and Ron Kreamer lost 3-15 on ends and 5-34 on shots, a disappointing result.

Jill Osborn, Roy Green and Winston Lansiquot won 11-7 on ends and 24-8 on shots, an excellent result.

Christine Shrubb, Dee Bates and David Palmer won 11 ends to Castle Point's 7. However, Castle Point won 17-16 on shots.

The overall shot score was 45- 59 giving Castle Point the bonus point.  The final point score was 5-2 to Castle Point.

Friday 14th June v Pitsea 'B'

Judy Brewster, Nigel Burrus and Mike Monk lost 6-12 on ends and 12-25 on shots.

Jill Osborn, Dee Bates and Winston Lansiquot won 10-8 on shots but lost 15-16 on shots. They had lead for most of the match but lost by 3 shots on the final end.

Edith Smith, Gordon Cook and Ron Kreamer lost 7-11 on ends and 15-21 on shots. This team had a poor start to the match but managed to score 11 in the last 6 ends.

The overall shot score was 42-62 giving Pitsea the bonus point. The final point score was 7-0 to Pitsea.

Friday 28th June v Wickford 'B' away

This match was reduced to 2 triples as Wickford  were unable to field a third triple. We were awarded 2 points and 10 shots for this rink.

Jill Osborn, David Mersh and Winston Lansiquot won 10-8 on ends and 14-13 on shots.

Edith Smith, Nigel Burrus and Mike Monk tied 9 all on ends but lost 15-21 on shots. This was partly down to Wickford scoring 7 on end 5.

The overall shot score was 39 [including the 10 awarded for the unplayed rink] - 34 giving us the bonus point. The final points score was 5-2 to Billericay. 

Friday 5th July v Memorial Park away

Nigel Burrus, Dee Bates and WInston Lansiquot  lost 8-10 on ends and 10-19 on shots.

Edith Smith, Gordon Cook and Ron Kreamer lost 7-11 on ends and 15-29 on shots. This was in spite of scoring 6 on end 7.

Jill Osborn, Roy Green and Mike Monk lost 5-13 on ends and 11-18 on shots.

The overall shot score was 36-66 to Memorial Park who thus scored the bonus point. The final points score was 7-0 to Memorial Park.

Friday 12th July v Hutton Poplars 'B' away

Edith Smith, Gordon Cook and Ron Kreamer won 11-7 on ends and 17-13 on shots. This included a score of 7 on end 4.

David Mersh, Mick Yates and Winston Lansiquot won 12-6 on ends and 17-13 on shots.

Jill Osborn, Roy Green and Mike Monk won 10-8 on ends and 21-10 on shots.

The overall shot score was 55-36 to Billericay giving us the bonus point. The final point score was 7-0 to Billericay.

Friday 19th May v Pitsea 'C' away

Edith Smith, Gordon Cook and Ron Kreamer lost 6-12 on ends and 11-20 on shots.

Nigel Burrus, David Mersh and Winston Lansiquot drew 9 all on ends and lost 13-15 on shots. This rink was leading right up to end 17 but lost 5 shots on end 18.

Jill Osborn, Mike Yates and Mike Monk won 9-8 on ends [with 1 drawn end] and17-12 on shots.

The overall shot score was 41-49 to Pitsea giving Pitsea the bonus point. The final point score was 2-5 to Pitsea.
